Faith Benford, LPC
Faith Benford, MA/Ed.S. is a Licensed Professional Counselor (37PC00383900). She earned a combined Master of Arts in Counseling and Educational Specialist in Mental Health degree from Seton Hall University. Faith has a School Counseling Certification and has experience working closely with Child Study Teams and out of school placement for children dealing with school anxiety, bullying, and academic challenges. Faith has worked with adolescents and families for over a decade.
Faith Benford has comprehensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with depression, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. Additionally, Faith enjoys working with student athletes to help them improve performance, manage stress, and cope with overcoming injuries. She is able to quickly build rapport with adolescents and families with her warm, empathetic, relatable, and positive personality.
Faith Benford uses a goal oriented and strength-based approach while utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and person-centered therapy. Faith assists individuals with developing strong and positive coping skills that can be used in any life situation. Faith believes that the key to change is a treatment focussed on increased personal insight and self-understanding combined with developing the necessary coping skills to manage one's emotions, behaviors, and thoughts.
